The story starts in 2013 when I was just 13 years old, I was always interested in interior design from a young age I would paint and decorate my room, when I started upcycling furniture I found a real passion for antiques. So with some time experimenting and perfecting, saving up and buying my first sander, I set up what was Wooden Heart by Lottie. The furniture was selling well and so at the age of 14 I opened a shop. I was there whenever I could, every weekend and every evening. With the help from my mum and papa I learnt carpentry and business all at the same time.
While setting up another shop and continuing the furniture, I started buying antiques, tea sets and china. I loved collecting but never had the space to keep it all, selling it on allows me to share beautiful antiques with others and stop my home from filling up!
Then I decided to rebrand and that’s where Vintage Living Home originated with a new logo and name it felt fresh and up to date. I started in Cornwall and now in West Sussex with a new workshop and office, everything is changing but definitely for the better. Working on the business full time with my little helper Oscar the dog, I am finally able to invest my time in to my dream job!
